6 weeks old! she's 6 weeks old today! and she's somewhat sleeping on her own right now. i just heard her whine. but sometimes she does that in her sleep. she's really working on trying to smile at people. i think she's doing it, it just doesn't feel like a real smile yet. i'm still waiting to write that down on her calendar. it's fun filling it out. she's really working on getting her thumb in her mouth too. she doesn't seem to understand yet that you have to not put your thumb in your fist first. but she's not giving up. she doesn't like the pacifier anymore. when i put it in her mouth she makes this face that says 'ew. that tastes yucky.' now she's crying, sort of. it's her 'i'm tired' cry. i never thought i would actually understand her cries. but i'm starting to learn them. and now all four dogs bark, and now she's really crying instead of the whine. let me just say. i have come to hate pets. especially the noisy ones. now she's awake. her left ear is still all gross. she's had it for 6 weeks and been on medication 2. so i called the doctor yesterday and they put her on something stronger. so hopefully it'll go away. she's growing so fast! i can't believe it. more later.
